The Bethel Lutheran Church Foundation was registered on February 9, 1982. The Foundation has given grants to over 100 entities with grants totaling $1,670,553. The north addition to Bethel Church added from 1988-1990 received the largest grant given of $514,425.

GUIDELINES FOR USE OF FOUNDATION FUNDS
1. Local Congregation: 10% minimum
A. Scholarships or grants to members for higher education
B. Church related camps, conferences and programs
C. Promotion of new programs within the church
D. Help with building improvements

2. Local Community: 5% minimum
A. Local Social Services programs
B. Community support facilities (Fire- EMT- Etc.)
C. Local Parks, Recreation, Etc. that benefit the Community.

3. Statewide Church: 10% minimum
A. Grants for Mission Churches
B. For ELCA State Supported Programs

4. National & International Church: 15% minimum
A. Grants for Mission work in America & Overseas
B. For ELCA National & International Programs


Maximum of 60% for anyone or all of the above designated areas in any proportion as determined by the Board.

Amount of expenditures in any year will be based on average of three previous years investment income.
